I find it important and difficult to decide which charity to donate to, to ensure the most impact rather than how well it is marketed. Givewell.org searches for charities that save or improve lives the most per dollar. Even well-meaning charities can fail to have impact. GiveWell provides evidence-backed analysis of effectiveness. Every quarter they announce top charities based on different criteria and show how they reached the conclusion. This fund has these top charities. It is a good way to be confident that your money is making the most impact it can make.

Established in 2003, Malaria Consortium is one of the worlds leading non-profit organisations specialising in the prevention, control and treatment of malaria and other communicable diseases among vulnerable populations. Our mission is to save lives and improve health in Africa and Asia, through evidence-based programmes that combat targeted diseases and promote universal health coverage.

New Incentives

At New Incentives, we implement evidence-based programming to save lives in a manner that does the most good per dollar. We do this by providing small cash incentives to caregivers in northern Nigeria in order to increase childhood vaccination rates and save lives.
